MicroSave is seeking Analysts to support delivery of technical assistance to various Government of People (G2P) payment programmes in India. These would include Electronic Benefit Transfer and Aadhaar enabled Direct Benefit Transfer programmes, with a special focus on the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Providing technical assistance for comprehensive readiness evaluation of Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) programmes being implemented for Government to People (G2P) payments; and the Financial Inclusion (FI) initiatives underway by banks and business correspondents.
Extensive surveys on readiness of BC/CSP/agent networks across the assigned districts, using qualitative surveys / PRA techniques for the consumers and agents.
Monitoring and supervising quantitative surveys in the assigned districts.
Developing end to end ‘As Is’ and ‘Could Be’ process maps, and conducting risk analysis for the major welfare schemes including MGNREGS, SSP and JSY.
Developing training curriculum and providing training to various field staff (government, bank, BC and CSP/agents) at block/taluk/mandal; district/zila; and state level.
Supporting and handholding all the stakeholders in implementing changes to the processes (pilot testing) and rollout on scale.
Providing monthly updates and conducting regular review meetings with the District Collector/DM/ADM/BDO and bank/BC officials.
Working with MicroSave teams providing technical assistance to banks, business correspondents and MNOs on enhancing their products/processes and branchless banking networks.
Driving the programme agenda in the assigned districts and supporting the assignment lead/practice group lead and other team members of MicroSave.
Qualifications and Competencies:
Academic/ professional qualifications:
•Masters in Management / Business Administration
•3 to 5 years, at least 2 years with EBT, DBT or FI programmes working with a Government department, bank or business correspondent.
Skills and competencies:
Expertise in qualitative research using PRA techniques.
Extensive experience in developing process maps and conducting risk analysis. Expertise in using MS Visio for developing process maps
Sound understanding of quantitative research techniques.
Ability to interface with and manage stakeholders at senior level in the state/districts/banks.
Highly creative and imaginative.
Excellent communication (oral and written) skills. Candidate should exhibit independence in conducting analysis and writing reports.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent report writing and presentation drafting skills
Excellent ability to analyse and synthesize data/information and present it using appropriate frameworks
Passionate and self-driven with ability to work independently
Fluent in English, Hindi and preferable a regional language
